Dhobi Ghat - Overall a unique way of storytelling and is probably made for a niche audience. I don't think it will achieve any commercial success. It has a fluid flow with good characterizations. I would have preferred to see someone else in Aamir's role though. The director probably tried to make it the arty type .. but was nowhere close .. its probably something in between. I thought Prateik Babbar was impressive.
Band Baaja Baraat - A cool, easy going storyline. There isn't much melodrama (comparatively .. considering its a Yashraj film). The film has its moments .. classy visuals, peppy music, different choreography, simple story .. generous use of cinematic liberty.
The Japanese wife - I was not expecting this to be a Bangla film .. it has some dialogues in english but majority of them are in Bengali. This cannot be classified as a commercial film .. but it also has its moments. A bit slow at times .. but there is sufficient curiosity build up which sustains till the end. The performances from Rahul Bose, Raima Sen, Moushumi are excellent.
Phas Gaya Re Obama !! - The title itself should draw you to watch the film. It also has a unique story .. and at the same time quite entertaining.
